The Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) (English: Metropolitan Express Network) is the light metro rapid transit system serving the City of Montreal, Laval, West Island, and the South Shore. The system operates as a main line with three (3) branches.
Opus is the automated fare collection system for the STM Metro and REM.
Note: Credit cards and mobile wallets are not accepted.
Fares
Exo uses a zone based tariff system. Broken down there are:
- Zone A: Montréal Island
- Zone B: Laval and Longueuil
- Zone C: North Short and South Shore
- Zone D: Hudson, Mont-Saint-Hilaire
Services
The REM functions as a suburban metro downtown Montreal to suburban areas.

- A2 YUL Airport
- A3 Anse-à-l’Orme
- A4 Deux-Montagnes

The REM does not have a specific policy but as the trains will go to the airport, they are designed with baggage in mind.

Notes
- For visitors and tourists, the Unlimited Weekend pass allows for unlimited travel across all zones (A,B,C,D) on STM bus, Metro, EXO train, and REM train. As well as the 747 YUL Airport bus. All for $17. A prefect way to explore Greater Montréal.
