Predominantly a commuter train (GO Transit) station serving Burlington and Hamilton, Aldershot also serves intercity trains (Amtrak, VIA Rail), local transit bus as well as tourists connecting to buses heading to Toronto, Niagara Falls and Hamilton.

Pros

  1. Plenty of parking; great for day trips to Toronto
  2. Frequent, all-day service to Toronto and Hamilton
  3. Three trains a day to Niagara Falls
  4. Local transit connections to Burlington Transit and Hamilton Street Railway

Cons

  1. Remote, isolated station primarily designed for commuters entering from Highway 403
  2. Whist VIA Rail’s Corridor and Amtrak/VIA’s Maple Leaf service stop at Aldershot, the lack of staff at this station is a sore point
