HSR Route 20 A-Line Express Bus / GO Transit Lakeshore West Line Train


- Travel time: ~2 hours
- Board the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) 20 A-Line curbside just outside of the airport terminal. Ride through downtown Hamilton along James Street North to West Harbour Station. Board GO Transit’s Lakeshore West Line towards Toronto Union Station.
- Fares: HSR: $2.85, GO Transit: $11.44. However with Ontario’s One Fare only pay for the GO Transit portion if you travel within 2-3 hours.
- Pros: An affordable budget friendly option
- Cons: The lack of luggage storage onboard HSR. Be aware of personal safety on-board and in downtown Hamilton.
- The gist: The limited stop, A-Line Express is an affordable convenient option if you are travelling with only carry-on. However, be aware of your surroundings when riding the bus through Hamilton.
Shuttle Bus / Limo

- There are no direct coach buses (Megabus ended service in 2024). However shuttle bus and executive transportation services are available for direct travel from Hamilton Airport to downtown Toronto. They are:

Rideshare / Transit Hybrid


- Travel time: 2 hours
- A good hybrid option to consider is taking a taxi or rideshare from the YHM Airport to Aldershot Station at the eastern edge of the City of Hamilton and catching GO Transit’s Lakeshore West Line towards Toronto Union Station. The entirety of the car trip is on Highway 6 and 403 making the trip faster than public transit.

- Pros: great if you have luggage
- Cons: More expensive. Traffic.
- The gist: Faster than taking the HSR A-Line bus, while costing less than taking taxi/rideshare all the way to Toronto.
