- While this station is located near YYZ airport, it should not be considered a station for passengers connecting. Transfer at Weston Station to UP Express to reach the airport.
- Whilst VIA Rail stops at this station (officially considered a flag stop), it feels archaic to keep stopping at Malton when passengers travelling from London and Kitchener to the airport would be better served by transferring at Weston Station for UP Express to quickly reach the airport. Especially when fewer than 1,000 VIA Rail passengers a year use Malton.
