Information page about Guelph’s central intermodal hub connecting intercity and regional trains and buses to the city’s transit network (Guelph Transit).

Original built in 1911 and rebuilt in 2012, this historical train station (now central intermodal hub) features Romanesque Revival along with an Italianate tower. Since opening this station building has expanded from only handling intercity trains to regional trains and buses as well has serving as the main transfer hub for Guelph Transit. All centrally located steps from downtown Guelph.

Cons


  1. Station building is only open to the public 30 minutes before and after VIA Rail train departures
  2. Personal safety issues (remain vigilate when waiting)
  3. The passenger tunnel connecting the south platform and parking is only open during rush hour
  4. Only one VIA Rail trip per day on the Sarnia-London-Toronto route

  • There are two train platforms, however only one platform (north side, next to the station building) is in operation.
  • Guelph Owen Sound Transportation operates a twice daily regional bus service from Guelph to Owen Sound serving small towns along the way.
