Option 1: OCTA iShuttle 400A Bus / Metrolink Orange County Line Train

- For those on a budget, consider taking public transit by way of OCTA (Orange County Transportation Authority) and Metrolink commuter rail from SNA to downtown Los Angeles. From the Arrival (lower) level, head to the Ground Transportation Center to catch iShuttle 400A Bus – a shuttle bus service connecting Metrolink’s Tustin Station with the Irvine Business Complex and John Wayne Airport. Ride the 400A to Tustin Station and board the Orange County Line train towards Los Angeles. Get off at LA’s intermodal hub for the Metro, commuter and intercity trains –Union Station.
- Note: This option is not intended for travelers with heavy luggage so this route is best if you’re packing light. The 400A only runs during weekday rush hours.

Option 2: Shuttle Bus

Option 3: Taxi / Rideshare
- Travel time: 45-60 minutes
- Undoubtedly, the most expensive option from our list but the most private. In addition to taxis, Opoli, Wingz, Uber and Lyft offer private rideshare services from the airport. Expect to pay at least $50-90 for a ride. Be aware of surge pricing and heavy traffic heading from Orange County into downtown Los Angeles.
