How To Get From Minneapolis–Saint Paul Airport To Downtown Minneapolis

Option 1: METRO Blue Line Train

Travel time: 25 minutes
Metro Transit offers theBlue Line light rail train. The Blue Line stops at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 Stations. Running every 15-20 minutes and heading directly to downtown Minneapolis. Disembark at Nicollet Mall Station or another station in the downtown core.
More specifically the station for each terminal is located at:
Terminal 1: From the Tram Level, take the Hub Tram to the parking ramps (Blue, Red, and Silver) follow signs to the light rail station.
Terminal 2: From Level 1, go up a level to Orange Ramp skyway and follow signs to the light rail station.

Fare for METRO is $2.00 ($2.50 at peak times).
Cheapest & Fastest

Some private companies offer shuttle bus service from MSP to downtown. Check with MSP Airport’s Information page.

Undoubtedly, the most expensive option from our list but the most private. In addition to taxis, Uber and Lyft offer private rideshare services from the airport. Travel time is approximately 20-25 minutes. Expect to pay at least $35-45 for a ride.
