How To Get From Gold Coast Airport To The CBD

Option 1: Translink 777 Bus / G:link Tram

  • Travel time: 20 minutes
  • Departing every 15 minutes, route 777 bus is a limited stop serving heading north to Boardbeach South Station. Board the G:link Tram to continue to the Gold Coast. If your final destination is the tourist hotspot by the beach disembark at Surfer’s Paradise Station. If your final destination is the CBD, disembark at Southport Station.
  • Whilst there are plans to extend the G:link Tram from Boardbeach South to the airport, there is no firm opening date.
  • Consider purchasing the go Card, Brisbane and Queensland’s integrated fare card. Fare for Translink and G:link is $0.50 AUD (yes, really).

Option 2: Shuttle Bus

  • Con-x-ion offers door-to-door shuttle service. Expect to pay at least $25 AUD for a ride.

Option 3: Taxi / Rideshare

  • Travel time: 30-40 minutes
  • Undoubtedly, the most expensive option from our list but the most private. In addition to taxis, Uber and DiDi offer private rideshare services from the airport. Expect to pay about $45-70 AUD for a ride.
