Option 1: Broward County Transit Route 1 Bus

  • Starting from the Ground Transport Booths at each terminal on the lower Arrivals level. Board Broward County Transit’s Route 1 to head to downtown Fort Lauderdale at Broward Central Terminal.

Option 2: Brightline Airport Connector Bus

  • Travel time: 20 minutes
  • Primarily aimed at travellers continuing throughout Florida by intercity train, Brightline offers  the Airport Connector Shuttle from FLL to their downtown Fort Lauderdale Station. This shuttle operates on a first come basis with no advance ticket purchase required. You do not have to purchase a Brightline train ticket itself to use this shuttle. Amenities include luggage storage.
  • Head to the Ground Transport Booths and look for the yellow Brightline Shuttle signs.

Option 3: Shuttle Bus

  • Travel time: 10 minutes
  • Some hotels and private companies offer shuttle bus service from Fort Lauderdale Airport to downtown. Check with your hotel and Fort Lauderdale Airport’s Information page.
  • Go Airport Shuttle offers shuttle, executive and group transfers from FLL to downtown Fort Lauderdale. WIth multiple options depending on the size of your travel group or budget Go Airport Express is a good option if you’re in a group.
  • Expect to pay at least $16.

Option 4: Taxi / Rideshare

  • Travel time: 10 minutes
  • Undoubtedly, the most expensive option from our list but the most private. In addition to taxis, Uber and Lyft offer private rideshare services from the airport. Expect to pay at least $15-25 for a ride.
