How To Get From Calgary Airport To Downtown

Calgary Transit Bus 100 Airport / CTrain Red Line

  • Travel time: 1 hour
  • Not a direct route but more adventurous. There is no direct train connection to downtown Calgary from YYC. You can, however,  hop on a bus to the nearest station to ride the CTrain to downtown. 
  • Starting with Calgary Transit Bus 100 take the bus to Saddletowne Station to catch the CTrain’s Blue Line, a  Light Rail Trail (LRT) heading downtown. This is a terminal so you’ll only be travelling one direction. The Blue Line (Also known as Route 202) is a rapid transit LRT line running downtown. Travel time is approximately 60 minutes.

Option 2: Taxi / Rideshare

  • Travel time: 40 minutes
  • Undoubtedly, the most expensive option from our list but the most private. In addition to taxis, Uber & Lyft offer private rideshare services from the airport. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes. Expect to pay about $40 for a ride.

Option 3: Calgary Transit Bus 300

  • Travel time: 30 minutes
  • Calgary Transit offers bus route 300 Airport/Downtown as the most direct option to travel from YYC to downtown Calgary. The 300 Bus is an express route with limited stops travelling along Centre Street to downtown Calgary. Travel time is approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
