OC Transpo is the transit system serving the City of Ottawa bus and light rail services. Most notably is the O-Train acting as the agency’s backbone. Save for a few routes, all bus routes start/terminate at one of the rapid transit stations.
Presto is the automated fare collection system for OC Transpo.
Credit cards and mobile wallets are also accepted via O-Payment.
Fares
TTC uses a timed ticket system. Ride and transfer for up to 90-105 minutes.
A single ride fare is $4.15 ($4.10 with Presto).
Notably, OC Transpo has a fare operating agreement with with the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) that serves the border city of Gaitneau, Québec. There are many caveats but essentially, travellers can start their by tapping Presto in the OC Transpo system then transfer to STO buses using the same fare.
Services
The O-Train is the core of the network. Once inside the fare paid zone, travellers can transfer to trains and buses all without leaving the system. The stations act as hubs and passengers board the buses within the fare paid zone.
Destinations
OC Transpo covers the entirety of Ottawa. Some bus routes extend more into Hull district of Gatineau. OC Transpo is interlined with STO allow for seamless transfers into the Gatineau.
