Information page about the eastern terminus of Vancouver’s commuter train – West Coast Express

This commuter train station serves as the eastern terminus of the West Coast Express. Mostly aimed at commuters travelling from the Fraser Valley into Metro Vancouver

Pros

  1. Located in downtown Mission
  2. % trains each direction per weekday with good off-peak bus connections

Cons

  1. While eastbound Canadian Service (Train #2) passes by it does not stop at Mission City.

Notes

Notes
  • Translink Bus 701 fills the gap in off=peak service to Vancouver
  • Designed for long-distance commuters travelling from the Fraser Valley into Vancouver for work. Mission City Station is designed for car-oriented, rush hour service. That said, Vancouverites looking for a weekend escape from the city might find the West Coast Express a great way to reach the Fraser Valley without a car.
  • Be careful not to confuse this station with Mission Harbour Station which serves VIA Rail’s Canadian travelling westbound toward Vancouver
