This station on the serves as a crew change and refueling stop. Nearby is the Canadian National Railways freight yard.

Good to know …
Pros
- This rustic, remote stop, offers a chance for passengers to step offboard and stretch their legs
- Quaint, locally owned restaurants nearby
Cons
- The original, historic station building no longer serves it’s original purpose for passengers. It’s passengers used the shelter operated by VIA Rail nearby
Notes
- The historical station building itself is owned by the Melville Rail Station Heritage Association and is not accessible
- Near by: Melville Railway Museum
- Economy passengers should take this stop as a chance to grab some warm food from a nearby restaurant or café (we highly recommend Nellie’s Bakery & Coffee House). It’s approximatively a five minute walk to downtown Melville (3rd Ave & Main Street)
